Inflation is basically gone ex shelter

00:01 - 14/08/22

US Federal Government Spending has increased 234% since 2000 versus a 74% increase in overall inflation (CPI). That's an annualized increase in spending of 5.5% per year, more than double the 2.5% annualized increase in CPI

With 89% of companies now reported, S&P 500 sales per share are up 6.9% over the last year. That's the slowest growth rate since Q4 2020 but still above the historical average (5.8%) and well above the expectations before earnings season began

The Interest Expense on US Public Debt rose to $857 billion over the past year, another record high. If it continues to increase at the current pace it will soon be the largest line item in the Federal budget, surpassing Social Security

Over 40% of Japanese women may end up never having children, the Nikkei reported, citing a soon-to-be-published government estimate
